Gateway to the New World: A History of Princess Anne County, Virginia 1607-1824 is a 1984 book by Florence Kimberly Turner.

The book is a history of the area that includes modern Virginia Beach from the time English explorers landed at Cape Henry to the formation of Princess Anne County in 1691 through the years before the Civil War.

The book was partially financed through the city of Virginia Beach and sponsored by the Princess Anne Historical Society. Turner was a longtime board member of the society.
