BACK BAY — The Creeds Ruritan Club hosts its 47th annual Bar-B-Que and Spring Craft Fair this month, bringing people to the rural city for food and vendors — and to support the nonprofit organization’s major fundraising event.

“The majority of it all goes back to the community through our Christmas baskets and college scholarships,” said Dennis Keane, president of the club, during a recent interview.

Proceeds also back other local charitable efforts.

In addition to community involvement, the club is seeking sponsors for the event known for its Carolina-style pulled pork barbecue.

It is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 18, at the Creeds Ruritan Community Complex 1057 Princess Anne Road. Donations are $12 per meal.

Tickets are available online at creedsruritan.com, from club members or Pleasant Ridge Napa Auto Parts and Back Bay Auto Repair. For information about sponsorships, visit the website or email Keane via dkeanevbfd@gmail.com.
