COURTHOUSE — Virginia Beach’s government recently launched a webpage with information about the new 10-district local voting system that a federal judge in December ordered the city to implement.

The new 10-district system, sometimes called a ward system, is now in place.

That system is the way several local council and School Board races are expected to be determined this year – though the city is appealing the ruling.

The VB10 information campaign includes a page online at www.vbgov.com/vb10 that has a FAQ, discussion of the lawsuit and a link to a searchable map so citizens can determine which district they live within. The lookup function can also be found at www.vbgov.com/voter.

Citizens with specific questions about the system can reach the city by email via vb10@vbgov.com.
