RED WING — The 2016 Nuestra Feria celebration of Hispanic culture and community on Saturday, June 4, brought people together at Red Wing Park.

Among the many elements of this year’s celebration was, for the first time, Cuban cuisine, said Olga Torres, president of the Hampton Roads Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The event is one in which Spanish is spoken, which makes it like a family gathering for locals from Hispanic communities, Torres said.

“But it’s a friendly event where everyone is welcome to attend and engage,” she added.

  1. Thank you, John-Henry, for joining us at Nuestra Feria this year! We will be back at Red Wing Park in 2017, and hope many more of our neighbors will come out and enjoy this great culture and family oriented event. Our main goal is to raise funds for scholarships and we especially like to see Hispanic owned businesses join us as sponsors and/or vendors!
