Creeds Athletic Association wrapped up a strong season of youth baseball this summer.

Ken Beasley, farm baseball coordinator for the association said the league saw a number of great showings by local youth.

The Creeds Marlins won first out of nine teams at the Junior Farm level, and the Creeds Astros came in first out of 10 Senior Farm teams. The Midget Creeds Phillies competed within the Lynnhaven Pony League, and played well.

“They started slow out of the gate, and they ended up winning their last 12 games in a row, including the playoffs,” Beasley said.

“The tee ball season was great,” he added. “We had the highest participation ever. We had 44 kids play.”
