He worked as a freelance journalist in New York and as a reporter at newspapers in New York and Virginia before founding The Independent News in 2015. Hello, We are a print-first newspaper because that’s where all of our advertising is and ads pay for our journalism. Stories are posted here usually well after they appear in print. Near you, we are available at the Jr. Market and Cindy’s Produce. For those who live outside Virginia Beach, I recommend bookmarking the site.
Trying to find the local paper for Princess Anne Maryland. Can’t find it in any of the stores new stands or anything nearby me.
This newspaper is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
I see that the Independent News is serving southern Virginia Beach. Why is Cape Henry left out? We were part of Princess Anne County too.
We mainly cover the southern city, though we have expanded coverage and distribution to Kempsville, parts of the central city and the Oceanfront. It’s a very small paper with limited resources. We cover what we can cover. Thanks.
