WEST NECK — The Floyd E. Kellam High School marching band is a fixture at home football games, leading the stadium in the National Anthem from the field and then playing throughout the contest while in the stands.
The band hosts fundraisers to help support the organization and ensure all students have what they need to participate. This year’s Kellam Band Holiday Craft Show is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, at the school, 2665 West Neck Road. Admission is free. It is sponsored by the Kellam Band Parents Association.
Before the Kellam Knight football game against Salem High School last month, the band practiced its 2016 performance, called “The Greatest Little Show on Earth,” led by its drum major, Noah Bilger, 16, a junior from Red Mill. These photos are from that before and during that home game.
The band often competes with other marching bands during contests on Saturdays. Find out more about the band by clicking on this link or reach the parents association via email.
