VIRGINIA BEACH — The following information was provided by state and city elections officials. Here is a schedule of in-person voting locations in Virginia Beach and general information for voters:

  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, Sept. 20-Nov. 1, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, at the Virginia Beach Voter Registration & Elections Office, Municipal Center Building 14, 2449 Princess Anne Road
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, and Saturdays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, at Bayside Recreation Center, 4500 First Court Road
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, and Saturdays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, at Great Neck Recreation Center, 2521 Shorehaven Drive
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, and Saturdays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, at Seatack Recreation Center, 141 S. Birdneck Road
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, and Saturdays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, at Kempsville Area Library, 832 Kempsville Road
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, and Saturdays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, 4100  Virginia Beach Boulevard
  • All locations are ballot drop-off locations for voted ballots during voting hours.
  • Polling locations throughout the city are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. Officials ask voters to please use their polling location, not the registrar’s office at Building 14.
  • The voter registration deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 15, by close of business.
  • The vote by mail application deadline is 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25.
  • The early in-person voting deadline is 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2.
  • The deadline to return a voted ballot to the registrar’s office is 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5.
  • The deadline to request a mailed absentee ballot is 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25. Registered voters do not need a reason to request an absentee ballot. Requested absentee ballots were scheduled to start being mailed to the requesting voter on Friday, Sept. 20.
  • Absentee ballots can be dropped off at the general registrar’s office or polling location on Election Day. Absentee ballots returned by mail must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, Nov. 5, and received by noon, Friday, Nov. 8. 
  • A ballot drop box is located behind the Virginia Beach Voter Registration & Elections Office, Municipal Center Building 14, 2449 Princess Anne Road. Citizens can deposit voted ballots there 24 hours a day, seven days a week until 7 p.m., Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. The location is under 24-hour surveillance.

  • Visit the Virginia Department of Elections Citizen Portal online via vote.elections.virginia.gov/voterinformation or elections.virginia.gov/citizen-portal to connect with resources to check registration status or your polling location.
