VIRGINIA BEACH — Early in-person voting is underway at the Voter Registration & Elections Office, 2449 Princess Anne Road, for the Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, special election in Virginia Beach City Council District 1 to complete a term that expires at the end of 2024.
Only residents living within District 1 can vote in this special election.
Some dates and resources:
- Early in-person voting ends Saturday, Jan. 6. Early in-person voting is available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturdays, Dec. 30 and Jan. 6. In-person voting is not available on Friday, Dec. 22, and Monday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Jan. 1, due to holiday closures.
- The deadline to register to vote in this election is Tuesday, Dec. 26.
- The deadline for requesting a ballot by mail is 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 29.
- Election Day is Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Precincts in District 1 are 22, 23, 25, 26, 51, 52, 57, 68, 78, 89 and 91.
