COURTHOUSE — Virginia Beach Revenue Commissioner Phil Kellam has extended the deadline for senior citizens or disabled people seeking 2022 real estate tax relief or 2021 personal property tax relief until Friday, July 30.

Applications for qualified residents usually are due on June 30. But Kellam in a statement released Friday, June 11, said he was extending the deadline by a month due to the impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

“This extension will allow senior and disabled taxpayers additional time to accumulate the materials necessary to apply and qualify for tax relief,” Kellam said.
