Voter guide: Overview of 2017 races for Virginia House of Delegates districts in southern Virginia Beach and constitutional offices

THE INDEPENDENT NEWS

COURTHOUSE — Voters on Tuesday, Nov. 7, will choose executive branch officials for the commonwealth, local constitutional officers for Virginia Beach and members of the Virginia House of Delegates in local districts. The latter races include three seats within the main coverage area of The Independent News, generally the southern half of Virginia Beach.

The newspaper asked candidates in races within its coverage area to provide information voters can use to find out more about them before they head to precincts.

The responses, which appear in the current print edition and are now posted online, are those that were returned to the newspaper. Links to those Q&As, by office sought, follow.

Answers have not been edited for grammar, style or content. Candidates appear by office sought in their order of appearance on the ballot. Incumbents are noted.
