CREEDS — The Senior Resource Center, Inc., in Creeds recognized public safety personnel Wednesday, Feb. 1, during the center’s annual First Responders Appreciation Luncheon.
Master Police Officer Amy Hamed of the First Precinct, who often works in the southern reaches of the city, said it was nice for the community to make this gesture. She sat with Sgt. Colin Elliot while she spoke.
“I know a lot of the faces,” Hamed said. “I get the waves.”
“The food was great,” added Elliot, who works in the police operations division — and who noted that protective vests make second helpings a challenge.
