COURTHOUSE — The City Council voted this past month to move the Creeds polling location from the firehouse to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 691 Princess Anne Road, and approved a boundary shift between the Oceana and Red Wing precincts so the number of voters served at those locations will be closer.

The changes will be in effect for the upcoming general election on Tuesday, Nov. 8, and citizens can expect new  voter cards showing their new locations.

Red Wing had served 3,660 registered voters and Oceana 2,534, according to a report submitted by Virginia Beach Registrar Donna Patterson’s office to the city council. The change means Red Wing will now serve 3,246 voters and Oceana would serve 2,948.

The council vote came during the regular meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 16.

Voters can find information about polling locations by clicking on this link to the state elections department webpage.
