SALEM LAKES — The first time he did it, Josh Cantrell, now 27, bought a helmet from a motorcycle store and a wig from a Halloween store and combined the items.

He’s on his second wig now, though the wind has taken its toll and the decorative head gear has gotten him pulled over, he said. “Four times.”

It’s green, but he might go back to black.

Also, he doesn’t ride alone.

A Papa Smurf doll is tied down to the back of his Yamaha Zuma.

“He was the toy I was able to get from the claw machine,” Cantrell said.

“It’s all for the laughs, you know.”
