COURTHOUSE — The Virginia Beach Court Appointed Special Advocates, who help children involved in the court system, seek volunteers and sponsors.

“It works with the courts system advocating for kids,” said Joe Sallee, second vice president of the First Precinct Citizens Advisory Committee.

“They could be the ones in trouble, or they could be the ones who are neglected or abused,” said Sallee, also a board member for CASA, as it is known.

The organization also seeks sponsors for its annual Pinwheels for Prevention awareness campaign, during which thousands of pinwheels are displayed.
