CREEDS — Sara Schauer shares a great deal of her holiday cooking at the Senior Resource Center, Inc., each Thanksgiving, though not all of the meal will make her own plate.

“She’s a vegetarian,” Rita Trammell of Back Bay said.

“But she still makes the turkey and gravy,” Rae Williams of Creeds added.

Schauer started the meal years ago at the center, where pot lucks are serious business.

“I love the camaraderie here,” she said on Thanksgiving Day. “I love the people here, and I love to cook.”

Some years back, some realized she was a vegetarian.

“That doesn’t mean I don’t know how to cook a turkey,” she said, laughing.
