The vote came during a meeting Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Creeds Ruritan Community Center, said Karen Vaughan, county administrative assistant for the Virginia Beach Farm Bureau.

Reelected were John Cromwell, Louis Cullipher, Ryan Horsley, David Salmons and Billy Vaughan. Michael Cullipher also was selected to take over the spot held by H.M. Dudley Jr. New terms begin in January.

They join or rejoin board president Bobby Vaughan, vice president Barry Knight, secretary-treasurer Arnold Dawley, Don Horsley, Roy Flanagan and Young Farmers chairperson Jason Dawley.

Members also voted on legislative issues, including addition of language about low-hanging electric lines, an issue for farm equipment operated on city roads.
